DigitalBridge Group, Inc. (NYSE: DBRG) operates and invests across the full spectrum of digital infrastructure. The fast-growing, global REIT manages over $30 billion across five key digital infrastructure verticals on its limited partners and shareholders. Over the years, the company has shaped the perspective around the importance of digital infrastructure to an emerging digital economy.
The formation of EdgePoint Infrastructure has confirmed DBGR’s continued support of the converging digital ecosystem. And having secured over 10,000 sites across Indonesia and Malaysia, the new focus of the leading wireless towers platform is on the high-growth markets of Southeast Asia.
“With DigitalBridge’s insights from more than 25 years of experience… around the world serving the leading telecom carriers, we believe that EdgePoint is well positioned to continue its growth… of next generation wireless infrastructure,” the company’s Managing Director and Head of Asia Justin Chang explained.
DigitalBridge’s Expansion of its Flagship Digital Infrastructure
DigitalBridge is in tow to extend its reach with the rising demand for digital infrastructure while taking control of deep industry relationships. And having partnered with Suresh Sidhu, the CEO of EdgePoint says the company is optimistic about building on a solid foundation similar to what is already in Indonesia. DigitalBridge’s current pipeline of acquisitions and projects positions in Malaysia is a significant business boost in the urban centers of the West Coast, the country’s economic heartland.
On the other hand, EdgePoint has acquired Asiaspace in Malaysia and executed effective build-to-suit programs for its carrier customers in Indonesia. In addition, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) has also purchased a $500 million minority stake in EdgePoint. Thus, both DigitalBridge and EdgePoint share a shared vision, which is quickly becoming a reality.
On the flip side, DigitalBridge and EdgePoint’s aim is to become an industry leader through driving operational efficiencies, scale and innovation, and the adoption of digital technologies. In addition, it seeks to power Digital ASEAN via Next Generation Infrastructure.
